Each fall, branches of the International Socialist Organization convene
with other activists and radicalizing people to discuss the past and
present of the working class movement and work towards building a larger,
more effective group of left wingers committed to socialism from below.

This year's Chicago regional conference will be held at Northwestern
University and will include talks on Marxist politics, the 1930s auto sit
down strikes, racism, imperialism, the Russian Revolution, rebuilding
militant tr
ade unions, women's liberation, education under capitalism, and the
revolutionary Black Power auto unions of the early 1970s.

The CU branch of the ISO will be organizing a car pool to Chicago in the
morning and returning to town the same night. Cost is gas contribution and
$10-30 for the conference depending on what you can afford.

This is a great way to learn more about both the history of workers'
resistance and the politics of our organization. Plus you can meet
activists from throughout the Midwest, check out excellent left wing titles
from Haymarket Books, and much more.
