Hmm. I have not heard anything about this film, but it might be worth
checking out.

The local Libertarian Party is the group responsible for the showing.

The Champaign County Libertarian Party will be screening "The Real War
On Terror" on Friday, 9-27-13, at 7pm in room 215 at the Champaign
Public Library on Randolph just north of Green Street.

It will be followed by informal discussion and conversation at
Minecci's restaurant.

Below is for information only and in no way reflects the views held by
the Champaign County Libertarian Party. It is merely intended to
describe the film.

"See/hear W. Edward Griffin speak about difference in the phony and
the real war on terror.  Here in his own words is what he will teach
you in this 90 min presentation.

“Although it is commonly believed that the war on terrorism is a noble
effort to defend freedom, in reality it has little to do with
terrorism and even less to do with the defense of freedom.

"There are other agendas at work--agendas that are far less
praiseworthy agendas that are in fact just the opposite of what we are
told. What is unfolding today is not a war on terrorism to defend
freedom but a war on freedom that requires the existence of
terrorism.”
