Dear Allies,

   In one week, 20 IPA leaders will embark on a 2-day, 30-mile "Pilgrimage
for Citizenship". These folks are walking from Decatur to Taylorville to
highlight the stuggles of the immigrant community and to urge Rep. Rodney
Davis (IL-13) and his colleagues in the House of Representatives to find a
humane solution to our immigration problem. We want congress to pass an
immigration reform that respects family and human dignity and that includes
a pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented Americans. The only
way we can accomplish this is if we show them that our movement is strong
and not going away - that this growing movement unites all people who share
the values of family, love and justice. On Oct. 5th, over 100 immigrant
justice events will take place across the country.

If you're not up for a 2-day walk through the heartland--we totally
understand.
HOWEVER, we are still *asking YOU to support the Pilgrimage for
Citizenship*in whatever way you can! Here are some options:

*1.) Join us at an Event on Oct. 4th or 5th*

   -      *Friday, Oct. 4th at 11am*  -   *Pilgrimage Kick-Off*   -  243 S.
   Water St. in Decatur
       Join us as we send the pilgrims off and wish them a safe journey!

   -      *Saturday, Oct. 5th at 1pm * - *Pilgrimage Arrival
Celebration* - 108 E. Market St. in Taylorville (Meet at the corner of
Walnut and
   Market St.) Welcome the pilgrims as they arrive at their final destination
   in Taylorville!
      - **Bus Transportation will be provided for this event. Call (309) 827
      9627 to reserve your spot! *
         - Bus leaves Bloomington at 11am (510 E. Washington St.), Leaves
         Decatur at 12pm (3850 Lourdes Dr.), Arrives in Taylorville at
1pm for and
         heads back at 2pm.

   - Your donations will help us provide supplies and meals to the pilgrims
   who will be walking!
