[Peace] Illinois Campaign for Prison Phone Justice

Greetings,

We're launching the Illinois Campaign for Prison Phone Justice to bring
awareness to the expensive cost of phone calls for those who have family or
friends incarcerated.

Did you know that Illinois has the highest "kickback" rate in the country
at 76%? (The average is 48%.) This means that more than $10 million goes to
the Illinois Dept. of Corrections each year, above and beyond what the
private provider Securus makes. This is one way poor families are made to
pay for the cost of incarcerating their loved ones.
