Hello friends—I’m so glad to report that the opening went well. A good number of interested/interesting people populated tonight’s opening Film Fest. Film maker Roberta Bennett was present, and answered questions.
And---lots of ideas were posted for ‘films-I-wish-someone-would-make’.

We exist!

Friday, Day 2 of the Film Fest, offers the short film, Maestra, by Catherine Murphy—this thirty minute documentary presents a waft of political-emotional energy in reporting how thousands of (mainly women)Cuban people in 1959 went out to the rural areas to teach reaching and writing. Alice Walkers reads the narration.

And, on Friiday, there will be the feature filmoHealth Care in All the Wrong Places— which, though it seems to be about health care, is really about the capacities of metaphor.

See you there!
