* Produced by our founder, Patricia Smith Melton, with an all-woman film
crew in Afghanistan, Argentina, Bosnia, Burundi, and the US and narrated by
actress Jessica Lange, it is moving, educational, and inspiring. It shows
women peacemakers that we are not alone and makes it clear that our work is
the glue of society. The documentary had its international premiere at the
United Nations on October 28, 2003, the third anniversary of UN Security
Council Resolution 1325 <http://www.unfpa.org/women/1325.htm> on Women,
Peace, and Security. The film was broadcast on more than 300 PBS television
stations across the U.S. and in 15 other nations. Peace by Peace: Women on
the Frontlines won the Golden Eagle Cine Award in 2004 and the Best
Documentary Aurora Award in 2006. As it continues to be aired at film
festivals and conferences, in university classrooms, in church basements,
and in living rooms, it inspires those who view it to claim their own role
in the peacebuilding work of both ordinary and extraordinary women around
the world *
