also interested in acting locally against militarization of the police
and the "justice system"

Join us as we try to halt the County Board's new effort to spend
millions on new jail cells. They have spent over $140,000 on a
consultant to draw up a master plan for the new facility. They have
now spent more on consultants to look into a new jail than on programs
to keep people out of jail. In light of acquiring the new military
vehicle and a drone, we ask where is our county going? Our campaign
says: Build Programs, Not Jails.  Join us as we plan the next steps:
