The anticipated Congressional vote on the Iran nuclear agreement is all
about Democrats. If Democrats stick together in support of diplomacy,
there’s no way Republicans can derail the agreement.

*Illinois Rep. Tammy Duckworth has not yet taken a clear stand.* This
concerns *all Illinois Democrats*, because Duckworth is running for the
Senate seat currently held by Mark Kirk, and *there is a contested
Democratic primary*. Democratic primary voters across Illinois will have a
say in whether Duckworth is the Democratic nominee. It also concerns
Illinois Senator Dick Durbin; he is Rep. Duckworth’s chief political patron
in her race for Senate – he could use his influence to help get her off the
dime on the Iran deal.
