AWARE should consider how we’re going to observe the academic boycott of UI.

For example, for all I admire Zsuszsa and think that she at least would have something valuable to say, I think that those sympathetic to AWARE’s goals should not attend or support this event, given the egregious violation of academic freedom at UIUC - especially since it involves issues, notably US sponsorship of Israeli depredations, that AWARE is particularly concerned with. 

The ongoing campaign against US/Israeli crimes is at the center of AWARE’s concerns, and we should join with other local groups in observing the boycott.
