The Center for Global Studies (CGS) and the European Union Center (EUC) have organized a panel discussion on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 5 PM about the European refugee crisis, featuring REEEC faculty affiliate Zsuzsa Gille (Associate Professor of Sociology).  She will be joined on the panel by Herbert Quelle (Consul General of the German Consulate in Chicago), and Illinois faculty members Kostas Kourtikakis (Lecturer, Political Science) and Lesley Wexler (Professor, College of Law).  The moderator will be Ed Kolodziej (Director, Center for Global Studies).  The panelists will discuss the implications of the large influx of refugees into Europe; the situation in Germany, Greece, and Hungary, and the EU policies that have addressed (or failed to address) the crisis.
