As a result, the Champaign County Board placed two referenda regarding the CCNH on the ballot this past April 4. One question asked about a property tax levy to help support the CCNH. A majority of voters voted against raising the property tax levy for the CCNH. The other question asked about “sale or disposal” of the CCNH. A majority of voters voted yes to this question. And now the Champaign County Board is struggling with the future of the CCNH.
