Robert

A coalition of groups will be protesting Obama at the U of I, on Friday. There are various reasons to protest his presence there.

1) The U of I giving an award for ethics in government to a President that advanced the Bush wars from two to eight, any one of which can be a focus.

2) His bail out of the Bankers, etc.

We wish to keep this “firm and dignified” a quote by one, maybe he meant “formal and dignified.”

You and anyone else is welcome to join, urging Obama to end the US - Saudi war in Yemen is worthwhile.

You are welcome to speak as well.

Obama is coming to the U of I next week.

Should we have a protest, urging him to call for ending the U.S.-Saudi war in Yemen - which he started?

It's not inconceivable that he would do it. Other former Obama Administration officials, including former UN ambassador Samantha Power, have acknowledged that the Obama Administration was wrong to back the Saudi war in Yemen and have called for the war to end.

If Obama is protested at the U of I over the Yemen war, it could be national news.

Should we do it?
