WUMMIN! Since 2003, Anita Chari (cello, voice) and Andrew Royal (violin)
have released three recordings and toured extensively. Since relocating
to Chicago, WUMMIN has welcomed long-time collaborator Brian Sulpizio
(drums) into the group. WUMMIN brings "erratic melodrama and
improvisational earnestness" through "bizarre operatic vocalism,
strident eastern accents and microtonal extravagance." Anita Chari
studies opera singing at the Chicago School of Professional Singing.
Andrew T. Royal recently released a cassette of solo violin
improvisations called "Gritty for the City." Brian Sulpizio runs the
Humboldt Park based Chateau Recording Studio and leads the band Health &
Beauty. DON'T MISS THIS RARE SPRINGFIELD PERFORMANCE!
