[Vip-communityjustice] National Volunteer Week with Community Justice!

Dear all,

This is a very busy week for volunteering.

BOOKS TO PRISONERS (Tuesday and Saturday)

We will be heading out this Tuesday and Saturday to the Independent Media
Center in Urbana to fill requests for books from inmates across Illinois. We
will meet at 6:45 on Tuesday night in the circle drive and  return around 9
PM. On Saturday we will meet at our normal 1:40 in the circle drive of the
Union and return around 4 PM. Please e-mail me ASAP if you can make either
or both trips at gcschnitzer at gmail.com (Coordinators, I need a driver for
Saturday among the van trained, please email me asap)

PEN PALS

Now is a great time to write your pen pal!  Here are some suggested topics
for this week:
-The crazy weather changes? Getting ready for finals? National Volunteer
Week activities.

If you need a new pen pal packet, please come to the VIP Office in the RSO
Complex, grab a new pen pal packet from the door and fill out a 1/4 page
contact sheet (place in the form return folder).

SUNSHINE JUBILEE

Save the date! VIP's largest volunteer recognition event will take place
Sunday April 22, from 5-7. Check your email for more details. it will likely
be at Illini Grove...rain place TBA. FREE FOOD, FUN, AWARDS, GAMES, GOOD
TIMES!
