Hey everyone!  I hope you had a great labor day weekend and
enjoyed the big football win!!!!!

Thanks to everyone that came to Recruitment nights and the
Recreation Orientation (info) nights.  I'm really looking
forward to volunteering with you all this semester:)

Here's what's going on this week and activities that require a
commitment that are coming up:

**YMCA needs help for their upcoming Annual Block Party.  The
Block Party is scheduled for this Saturday, September 10, 2005
between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m, located at the YMCA McKinley Family
Center parking lot.  If interested contact Sarah sendrsn1 at uiuc.edu

**YMCA Afterhours this Saturday (and every saturday if you
ever want to go) from 7-10pm.  Play basketball or other
sports, games, listen to music, hang out with the junior high
kids, and eat (free) pizza!  Really fun time, I promise!

**Urbana Park District School Tour Guides.  The training for
this is either Friday Sept. 9th from 2-5 pm or Sunday, Sept.
11, 1-4 pm.  Volunteers do need to go through the training to
do this, but they only need to attend one of these, not both.
 Volunteers will take school children through either Busey
Woods or Meadowbrook Prairie on guided educational hikes. 
This happens on school days during the week.  If students have
blocks of time open M-F they can sign up to lead a group. 
This is a really fun opportunity, and it's great experience
for students who are going into education as their career

**CU Special Recreation activities - weekly commitment
recommended, 1 hour on-campus training necessary (easy and
flexible scheduling) Email me ctrimarc at uiuc.edu if interested

-Bumper Bowling For ages 3-6 at Western Bowl, 917 Francis
Drive. Mondays  Sep 12 – Oct 3 4:00 – 5:00 pm or Wednesdays 
Sept 14 - Oct 5 4:00 – 5:00 pm

-Rhythmic Gymnastics Tuesdays Sept 20 – Nov 15 6:00 – 7:00 pm
Spalding Rec Center, 910 N Harris

-Strikes and Spares at Western Bowl, 917 Francis Drive,
Mondays  Sep 19 – Dec 12 4:00 – 5:15 pm or Wednesdays 
Sept 21 – Dec 14 4:00 – 5:15 pm

**Coaches for Urbana Park District Sharkies league soccer (5-6
