Good Afternoon,

Did you know..."95% of the population is eligible to donate blood, but only 4%
do?"  I think its time for you to do your part and help during Blood Donor 
Awareness Week and try to raise that 4%.  This blood drive will be running 
from Sept 8th to Oct 3rd from 10am-4pm in room 314 in the Illini Union.  Also, 
dont forget to eat 2 hours before donating!

Ok everyone its only 3 more days till FRIDAY and if you dont have plans for 
friday night..you do now...because I-Vote, a devision of Volunteer Illini 
Projects, will be hosting a free concert that day at Frat Park from 7:00 to 
11:00pm FOOD and POP wil be provided.  Also "The Planet" will provide give 
aways (yah!), prizes and other forms of entertainment.  The Rockin' to 
Register Concert will have performances by Swizzle Tree, Fifteen Minutes Late, 
The Dog, and Everything.  So come on out and do your part by REGISTERING!!!

Chrisis Nursery is hosting Urbana's First Annual International Beer Tasting 
and Chili Cook-off...and NO you do not get to sample the beer..hello..no 
drinking on the JOB!  They need 100 volunteers to help out with 2 shifts: 1-4 
and 4-7 which involves taking tickets, checking ID's, pouring beer, and trash 
removal on Oct 15th and most importantly all proceeds go to Crisis Nursery.

Salt Fork River Clean-Up is the name and picking up garbage is the GAME!!! You 
are probably thinking you didnt hear me correctly...well re-read the first 
sentence if you dont believe me...anyways they need volunteers to help clean 
up mother nature so dont be shy! They also need volunteers to help with staff 
sign-in tables and the refreshment area.  This all begins on October 5th 
between 8:30a.m to 1:00pm and Contact Marc Miller (217)344-2371.

Swann School which is a program that deals with aiding children from 3-21 
years old with severe disabilities are looking for volunteers who will help 
with there staff of teachers and with there students.  Contact Deborah A.

Can you file? Copy? Collate? Organize? Well if you answered "YES" to all of 
these quetsions then Child Care Resource Service (CCRS) needs you! Located in 
Beviar Hall from 8-5pm Monday through Friday.  They frequetnly have projects, 
events, activities and outreach work which requires those very important

Have any of you ever wanted to be an actor? and perform outdoors (cause you 
are a nature lover!)...well Haunted Hallows Trail have some acting 
oppurtunities available on Oct 18th-19th from (5-10pm).  Also there will be 
training on Oct 13th to go over lines from 1-3pm...cause we dont want you to 
make a fool of yourself!  Don't worry free pizza and soda will be provided.

Do you like Football?...well even if you dont Family Life Skills Learning 
Center needs volunteers to assist organization's fundraising efforts by 
serving in a concession stand during University of Illiniois and Chicago Bears 
home football games during 2002-03.  They need you guys Saturdays and Sunday's 
during the time when the game starts.  Contact Donna Walraven 351-3033.

Spurlock Museum needs volunteers for there information night!!! It's just one 
night October 8th at 7p.m on Tuesday I'm sure a few of you can miss one 
episode of the Gilmore Girls just for one night!!! Contact Beth 265-5485 or
