1. The 6th Annual Non-Profit Career Fair is coming with full and part-time
positions, internships and volunteer opportunities.  Participants include:
American Red Cross, Champaign Park District, City of Champaign, Chicago
Transit Authority, Illinois Department of Agriculture, Mercy Home for Boys
and Girls, Peace Corps, Provena Covenant Medical Center, Teach for
America, United Way of Champaign County.  It will be held on Monday, March
17th in the Illini Rooms of the Illini Union from 11am-3pm.  For more
information contact opv at uiuc.edu.

2. Habitat for Humanity has moved to a new office on 40 E. University and
need help this Saturday with painting, sorting hardware, building shelves
and display units, and remove carpet.  If a few hours can be spared this
Saturday contact Judy Bryan at (217) 355-6460.

3. Want to win free pizzas, gift certificates to your favorite restaurants
or a free night's stay at a hotel? Best Buddies International (a project
of Volunteer Illini Projects) is holding a raffle for their spring
fundraiser.  Best Buddies is a non-profit organization aimed at enhancing
the lives of persons with mental retardation. Raffle tickets are $2 and
there are great prizes!! Contact Lindsay at LBARAN at uiuc.edu to purchase or
sell raffle tickets!!

4. The American Cancer Society will be hosting the Relay for life, which
will be raising money against its fight with cancer.  It will be located
the UI track from 7pm on April 25th to April 26th till 7am.  Teams of
10-12 (or individuals looking to find others to form a team) should email
rflatuiuc at uahoo.com to find out how to register.  It costs $50 to register
a team, and if you do by March 21, every team member gets a FREE t-shirt!

5. Elementary School Carnival needs volunteers for a night of great fun
and excitement for students from Kindergarten to 5th grade.  30 Volunteers
will be used to run various games (collect tickets, explain games, and
distribute prizes).  GREAT FOR A GROUP! This event will be held on March
21st from 4:30-8:30pm.  Contact Carnival Chair, Karen Anderson at 356-8363

6. Would you like to be a deliverer of knowledge? RSVP (Retired and Senior
Volunteer Program) has homebound people who want to receive library books.
After several weeks the books will be returned.  Volunteers are needed to
pick up the books, which may be 10-15 lbs.  Substitute volunteers to make
these deliveries are needed.  From 9-11am on 1st and/or 5th Wednesday once
a month.  Contact Jo Hopkins at (217) 359-6500 for more information or to
volunteer.

7. Champaign Park District is hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza and need
volunteers to stuff easter eggs for the egg hunts.  Volunteers are needed
from 5:30-10:00pm) on April 10th plus pizza and soda will be provided.

up.

8. The Prairie Ensemble has a one-time project with other volunteers to
organize and put on The Prairie Ensemble's single largest fund-raiser.
Work sessions are always fun as well as productive.  Special jobs may
include taste-testing foods at Stone Creek, sending invitations, set-up at
the event, assisting in advertising, designing the auction catalogue,
soliciting and collecting auction items.  Volunteers are need on March
