Are you a "late night eater?" Just can't seem to "close the kitchen?" --
When you get to the bottom of the page, click on the website link for an
article about this topic.

WOW!

What fun I've been having lately.

I've been directing a lot of my energy into "phase two" of the diet coaching
business and as I've been doing so I have been getting quite a bit more
exposure and QUESTIONS.

Questions like: "Really? You are? You're a diet coach? I thought you were… an
artist <http://www.spiritofsandra.com>…an art teacher… a journalist… a
prisoner advocate <http://www.books2prisoners.org>….?"

And questions like – "Why?"

So, let me introduce myself to those who haven't met me and explain myself
to those who know me through other venues.

MY CALLING

First let me say… that I never grew up wanting to be a diet coach… and I
never got into the "diet industry" because it was lucrative. It may be for
the big players -- but the cards are still out on me : ).

The short version is this: After overcoming many other addictions in my
life, I put on weight. It turns out that the same method of overcoming other
addictions could be used to take off weight (in theory); but in reality
required adjustment.

As I graduated with a degree in painting – I needed some income to start
paying off those student loans and went to work for Weight Watchers. I had
fun taking all my self-help knowledge a step further and applying it to the
dieting life. Some laughter; some tears: Being a healthy weight in our
society is not easy.

I wanted to have my own business so that I would have time to work with
individuals and small groups.

I had found out that my real gift was in combining my intuitive ability with
my practical side. I have a gift of being able to help others identify their
true issues. (It's usually not this vague thing called willpower.) Then I
use my practical side to come up with solid down-to-earth solutions to daily
dilemmas.

In many ways I'm a conduit. My clients get the cumulative benefit of all the
people I have worked with. I hear the issue, then I go to this vast file of
knowledge I've accumulated over 16 years of addiction recovery and 7 years
of diet coaching -- and offer solutions.

OTHER CALLINGS

While I have other callings, I know that this is one of my missions in life.
Why else would I enjoy it so much, have such success, and get such positive
feedback?

So yes, I have a well rounded life -- but I do not consider this a lesser
calling for me.

Well, if you've made it this far. You know me a lot better than I know you…
and that is really not fair.
