[Community] listserv moderation

Hi all,

Here are my thoughts about moderation:

Events-
I suggest this be a no-post list (I don't know what to call it) that  shows-americorps (Katie) would moderate- people would send her the events and she'd make a weekly bulletin so that it's not helter skelter. 

Membership- 
moderated by whoever's been handling membership- maybe that's Michelle, maybe it's Nicole? 
It's a free for all- a regular listserv

IMC- 
Moderated by someone who is an active spoke- maybe that's Mike, though since he's handled lots in the past, it may be good to spread the responsibility- that can be up to him?

Related note:
My thought/aim is that a lot of the 'overall imc' stuff that's been hoisted onto finance but really isn't appropriate for them to handle get shifted to the spoke/imc list. This will create more awareness and accountability across groups, relieve pressure/aspersions about finance being the 'center', etc.

Ok. So here's the update:

I created a list: imc-membership at lists.ucimc.org.  We can create the email membership at ucimc.orgthat points to this list. I can add members to this list, just need to get them from someone. The list info page for imc-membership is here: http://lists.chambana.net/cgi-bin/listinfo/imc-membership

-- note: there is another list: imc-members that is run by Michelle Shumate. I'm not sure but we should maybe ask her what it's for to make sure we're not duplicating or something. I think it's a broader IMC list, and the one I just created is for UCIMC members.

-everyone on the current imc at ucimc list will be put on the events list
imc-events (http://lists.chambana.net/cgi-bin/listinfo/imc-events) is owned by Nicole. Nicole, if you make me a manager/moderator or owner, I can help add members from imc (http://lists.chambana.net/cgi-bin/listinfo/imc). 

-everyone who is not a spoke will be removed from the imc at ucimc list
Mike Lehman owns the imc list and we'll need to get him to help with this. 

Josh, if you happen to look at this email: I was looking into how these tasks could be done at the CLI- just need to know which server to look on. I'll keep looking in any case.
