[IMC-US] Google News

i'm working on a single rss feed containing both syndicated local
feature and national feature us indymedia articles (or i was when my
connection to the server went away mysteriously)

it will <link> to the original site where the article appeared, so we
can give google 1 file, and then they can crawl all the original
version.

alternately, if they don't want to crawl pages with user comments on
them, i can give them an rss feed which links to the original
location, but which includes as much content in the feed as we get
from the local feeds.

i could also do this on global indymedia which pulls all the feeds
from around the world, but i've been a lot laxer on the outreach end
of getting local full content feeds....

as far as i have heard about the google news policy, the major issue
was with making sure all pages crawled for google news passed some
sort of editorial process(fair enough). if we make this feed work, we
can hand google every suitable editorial processed article from around
the network on a silver platter(subject to the limitations of the
local feeds, of course).

seems like if we need to bug google news, we should do it once and make it
count...

does this sound reasonable?
