i had a look at the lists and thought that it would be way to hard to
write it chronologically...it would jump around way too much.  if
someone could do it in a coherent manner, it would be beautiful, but i
don't think i'm a good enough writer to even try

so i made a (very quick) attempt instead at trying to sort stuff out
by broad themes....

most of the headings are just placeholders, but I did collect most of
the independent media stories in the bottom category.  i guess what
i'm thinking is having link-heavy text in each category that flows
(roughly) chronologically....

even if we decide to order it a different way, at least this way have
the articles pulled out by theme for reference.  i'll work on labor
later today, it would be great if other people could do other sections
or write some text!
