[IMC-US] syndication issues

Hi.

I have to take issue with the claim that the feature
on the Guckert scandal "links heavily to the corporate
media." In fact, it links to one and only one
corporate news source which is actually reprinted on
the sf-imc site (unless you count editor and publisher
as a 'corporate' source, like the nytimes, which i
dont.) Am I misunderstanding people's definition of
"corporate news"?

Anyway, I worked really hard to keep this story free
of evil corporate news links which is why I'm jumping
in. In general, though, I agree with the idea that the
IMC should be as free as corporate links as possible
... but not as a completely exclusionary policy.
Believe it or not, sometimes the corporate press
actually says something worthy of highlighting :)
