[IMC-US] all volunteer PROPOSAL

i disagree with the volunteer proposal.

however, it appears that the majority of people support it. if it does pass,
i would ask that the rationale for 'all volunteers' be articulated in
terms of the goals and vision of the site. i think that the short
visioning process at the meeting is a good corallary to the volunteer
proposal and place where this can happen.

i would like to throw my two cents in as far as vision and goals and
volunteers but am resisting doing so b/c it has been stated that this
is not the place for that debate, and that the meeting is an
opportunity to share those ideas.

since it appears that this debate has occured before, could someone
point me to the archives of and threads of the different perspectives?
are there written sources or succesful examples of 'all volunteer'
organizations that could frame this discussion?

best,

-Aaron
