Here's the Civic Media center's (in Gainesville) event e-mail.  We could
start the same and use their's as a template.  Notice the simplicity and
the regular CMC info footer.  I suggest each IMC staffer take on a
different job (in addition to house cleaning) such as putting out a
bimonthly events calendar.

Any staffers want to take this on as their project?

MONDAY, APRIL 2nd: Video Night: "The Double Life of Ernesto Gomez Gomez." A
video and discussion on the recently released Puerto Rican political
prisoners, and the effect their imprisonment had on their families.
Presented by the Anarchist Black Cross Federation of Jacksonville. Free! 8pm

THURSDAY, APRIL 4th: Poetry Jam! Open Mic night! Read or listen, enjoy. 9pm.
$2-5 donation

SUNDAY, APRIL 8th: Gender is a Drag A cabaret show of spoken word, poetry,
and performance art on gender. 8pm @ Full Circle (located on the corner of
University Ave. and Main St.) $5 donation to benefit the CMC.

TUESDAY, APRIL 10th: The Human Face of State Terror in the Pinochet Years in
Chile will be a video and presentation about women's activism in Chile to
defeat the Pinochet Regime. Presentation will be given by UF Sociology
Professor Hernan Vera. 8pm. Free!

THURSDAY, APRIL 12th: Poetry Jam! Open Mic night! Read or listen, enjoy.
9pm. $2-5 donation

FRIDAY, APRIL 13th: Crisis in Columbia Speaking Tour will shed light on the
reality of Colombia's Civil War and its intersection with US drug war
policy. Luis Gilberto Murillo is an Afro-Colombian and former Governor of El
Chocó currently in exile in Washington DC. Sandra Alvarez is
Colombian-American and the director of the Colombia Human Rights Program at
Global Exchange. Don’t miss this powerful event! 8pm. Free!
