Space working group met Wednesday, 6:30 pm at IMC.

Paul R. presented a proposal, "Definition & Guidelines for IMC Sponsored
Events." Some major points of the proposal: An IMC sponsored event is
any event put on by one or several IMC working groups (wg's). WG's are
responsible for the event. Donations collected at IMC sponsored events:
IMC staff working at the event get 25% up to $100. 75% goes to IMC. IMC
sponsored events can use IMC free of charge & mention IMC sponsorship
publicly.

This proposal was passed by consensus, and will be presented at the next
Steering Group meeting. Full proposal is posted on the bulletin board at
the IMC.

A guest, Dana, requested permission to store some books at the IMC.
Group decided there wasn't enough room, especially with the FTAA
presentation going on Friday. Suggested other options.

Mitra has wall dividers she is willing to donate to the IMC. Group
decided not enough room, & not sure exactly how we would put them to use,
anyway. Thanks, though!

Mike Lehman reported on the freezer, which is now in place. Very
inexpensive to run.

Discussion about building an Isolation Booth for more quality sound
production where the computers are currently stored.

Question arose of whether the space group should sponsor art shows going
on at the IMC. Consensus was yes; Mitra is currently taking this under
her charge. Also a local group has expressed interest in using the space
to show films on race relations/racism. Could space group sponsor?
Consensus: yes. Tech group is holding a film fest fundraiser in the
future.

Short discussion of retail space- Dana said he has a box of CD stands for
the display he could donate.

Discussion of consignment of retail items- moved to finance/fundraising
meeting

Mike Lehman will be bringing in an exhaust fan for the production room.
