[Imc] another edition of the Public i?

I am writing to express my support to the current format of the Public I.

I find the Public i well written and very informative. It is also
consistent in these qualities. These are qualities I value because it
was the accuracy, professionalism, and consistency of In These Times that
was important in my transition from a Young Republican in my youth to
seeing the wisdom of progressive views. And I suspect the current
editorial format helps maintain these qualities. If we can find a way to
maintain these qualities and make it more entertaining I'm all for it,
but I fear that reducing editorial oversight may cause the Public I to
lose what I admire about it.

Also, If we open the Public I with no editorial jurisdiction over
content, we increase the risk that someone would publish something
libelous. Then not only can the IMC get sued then but also the editor
who proofread the piece could get sued personally. What the probability
is of this happening, I don't know, but its reassuring to know that there
are editors checking the facts we publish.

Thanks-
Russ
