[IMC] C-U Confidential 8 - Coming Soon (or Sooner!)

Friends,

With the fifth annual New Art Film Festival about to be put to bed with
this evening's Champaign Movie Makers-sponsored Talkback, and Roger Ebert's
Film Festival set to start one week from tomorrow, all would seem smooth
and complete in the Champaign-Urbana film world.

We still have *one other *project to consider this springtime - *C-U
Confidential!*

As in 2012, work on CUC had to be shelved prematurely to handle the
organization of the NAFF. Unlike 2012, we would love to get back on CUC
track and get it out as soon as possible, preferably before the University
of Illinois spring semester finishes!

We basically need to restart our campaign to book advertising for, as
always, we intend to distribute CUC *FOR FREE* to our community (and
communities beyond, depending on how far the print run will stretch). The
ad sheet is attached here for your perusal. Our goal is 9 to 10 pages at
the current price range (which is identical to CUC #7 from the fall) and we
currently have only 3 filled. However, two *important *notes:

1. The April 8 booking deadline is obviously past. Therefore, we will push
to book full our target 9-10 pages ASAP. As soon as this goal is met and
all advertiser artwork is in our hands, we will go to press!

*2. We CANNOT guarantee at this date CUC #8 will debut at Ebertfest '14. *

If the latter is a deal breaker for you, we apologize. If you have already
booked/paid and would like to cancel or downsize, *please alert us by 5 p.m
this Thursday 4/17* and we will remove you from the list and refund you
appropriately.

*Contents for C-U Confidential #8 include the usual departments
highlighting the dimensions of our Champaign-Urbana cinema community -
Splices of Life, Confidential Review, Coming Soon! calendar - as well as
editorials on Ebertfest and personal creativity, a brief visit with Illini
Film & Video alum Paul Karpenko, another special "excerpt" feature noting
the writing work of the late University of Illinois professor Steven P.
Hill and the experimental/genre filmmaker Curtis Harrington, and more!*

have 6 total color pages this issue, including all covers but the front.
(Back and 1/2 Inside Front are currently booked.)

something of *equally *great value you can still do to help CUC street - *PASS
