As the US IMC's close or transform into other organizations, IMCs in Africa
have been growing.  See this latest addition. IMC Africa has a convergence
every year or so - UCIMC helped make 4 of these convergences happen. The
last one we attended was in 2007.

One of the topics that came up in the discussion about the Nigerian
group being the host of the next convergence was the fact that it will
be nice for the Nigerian group to complete the global Indymedia
application process.

After several technical glitches IMC Niger Delta application went
through the network process.
