[rfu-automation] WRFU 104.5 Community Radio - C-U Local Music Collection

Hello,

I am working to revive a project at WRFU 104.5FM to not only catalog, but to
also air music exclusively by local artists (in Champaign-Urbana and the
nearby region).  I have a question regarding a submission we recently
received from Mad Science Fair.  The album is *...for a better tomorrow* and
was released on Mud/Parasol in 2005.  Is it possible for us to get into
direct e-mail contact with the artist, to make sure which, if any, tracks
have profanity before we add it to our rotation?  With the volume of music
we currently have and expect to receive we will not be able to check every
submitted CD.  I can only find a MySpace link for the band, and cannot
contact them that way.

We're committed to showcasing the full variety of local music in
Champaign-Urbana, and we're impressed with the service that Parasol provides
for artists and fans in this area.  As a non-profit, community radio
station, we cannot purchase or advertise, but we are also not restricted in
content and format the same way that other stations are.  Please let your
artists know about WRFU and the opportunity we provide for local artists to
be heard on local radio.  I will discuss this further with others at the
station, but we can in all likelihood craft a statement for on air use that
specifies that certain recordings were released on Parasol, and our DJs are
free to do so, as well.
