Boy Scout Merit Badge Seminar
When: Saturday, March 5th 7am-5pm (lunch provided)
Where: Holy Cross Grade School
The Merit Badge Seminar is sponsored by Holy Cross Boy Scout Troop 9 which
has been hosting this event for the past 20 years. This is one of the
largest merit badge seminars in the state of Illinois and attracts scouts
from all over the state. We will have about 500 scouts attending a variety
of classes designed so the boys can work on merit badges. We have classes
on law enforcement; public speaking, astronomy; local government; first aid,
finger printing, fire safety, electricity, economics, fishing, computers,
plumbing, veterinary medicine, dentistry -- and much more. We need
volunteers to assist in some of the classrooms; serve as hall monitors or
help with entering the completed courses into our computer system.
