1. VIP & ARC Blood Drive: Volunteer Illini Projects is 
holding a blood drive in the Illini Union in room 314 June 
22nd thru the 25th.  To donate, just show up between 10am and 
3pm!  If you are interested in volunteering please contact 
Toni at frolova at uiuc.edu.

2. Salt and Light Volunteers: Salt and Light is looking for 
volunteers to help collect, organize and distribute food and 
clothing to poverty stricken families and individuals.  Salt 
and Light serves the Champaign County community by aiding 
with the physical needs of the residents such as food, 
clothing, home repairs, and financial services.  If 
interested contact Nathan or Jenny at 355-5654 for more 
information or to volunteer.

2. Taste of Champaign-Urbana Volunteers: The Champaign Park 
District is looking for volunteers to help with ice delivery,
monitoring entrances, selling food tickets, and aiding with 
park beautification for the weekend of June 25-27, 2004.  Eat 
and be entertained while you help out with the biggest event 
of the summer.  If interested contact Josh Newman at 398-2550.

3. BINGO at Champaign County Nursing Home: The residents are 
looking for summer volunteers (groups and individuals) who 
enjoy visiting, playing and/or assisting with their favorite 
game, bingo. Volunteers are needed Wednesday evening from 
6:30 to 7:30pm and Saturday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00pm.  
If interested, contact Kalah McGraw at 384-3784. 

4. Cutting Grass: A senior woman would appreciate someone to 
come out and mow her lawn occasionally during the summer.  
She has her own manual lawn mower that is practically new.  
Get some great exercise, a glowing tan, and give someone a 
helping hand.  If interested contact Geraldine Fosnaugh at 
359-2034.

5. Tandem Biking: Take someone on their first bike ride 
ever!  Volunteers are needed to ride bicycles built for two 
with a person that is making a life long memory.  If you can 
ride a bike, you can take part in this event.  Dates for his 
opportunity are June 18th from 6:00-7:00pm and July 2 from 
6:00-7:00pm.  If interested contact Kathy Stiebner at 398-
2374.
