[Cu-wireless] Antennas and lines of sight (LOS)

Hello everyone,

	I've spent quite a bit of time scoping out my building and neighborhood
for line of sight to anywhere in Champaign-Urbana.  About the only tenative
LOS I could find is what appears to be some kind of communication tower WSW
of me in Champaign.  Perhaps if we could get permission to put a repeater on
it, and another on Huntington Towers (per Brooks' suggestion) I could
connect to the wireless net.  Other than that, I may have to route from my
wireless "bubble" through the cable modem to the net in downtown Urbana.
	In perusing my neighborhood, I found out that one of my neighbors has an
old PrimeStar TV dish on his balcony.  With luck, I should be able to
convince him to donate it to CU-Wireless; I'll try tomorrow (er, later on today)
for the antenna.  If I can get it, I'm keen on modifying it for 802.11b use. 

	Does anyone know of communication towers, etc. in the vicinity of NE
Urbana?
