Could anyone get audio from this for next week's show?  Jim Loewen is
an amazing author; I don't know if he's an amazing speaker, but it
should be a very interesting class, and I would be willing to mentor
anyone in producing it into a show.

	On Saturday, Jan. 25, as the concluding event of MLK, JR.
week, we are welcoming the community onto the UIUC campus for a
workshop on Diversity and Racism in the Classroom.  This workshop will
feature Jim Loewen, author of Lies My Teacher Told Me, as our keynote,
and a group of Carnegie Scholars who have studied issues of race and
diversity in the university will present sessions.  So, if you know
people who might be interested, please spread the word.  This workshop
is free and open to the public, but we require registration.  High
school teachers can receive 6

hours of in-service credit for attending.  Workshops are also geared for

college faculty and graduate students.
        I hope that you will join us.  We can all gain from this
workshop.  The
workshop will discuss how to achieve diversity in the classroom as well
as
how to deal with problems of racism.  Check out the schedule, workshop
