[Imc-radio] Re: Can anyone cover the council proceedings?

In the haste of my deciding at the last minute to cover the event, I
started recording with low batteries and only oneminidisc. I have segments of the first 7 or so speakers in the public
commentary, and then almost all of the remainingpublic commentary uninterrupted. I didn't anticipate the eloquence of the
alder people.
I just did a websearch to see what TiVo is; this might be an opportunity
to compare minidisc recording technique :-) withthe audio from the TiVo.

Am 580's coverage has been not bad, with several choice clips from
Danielle. Nothing from Jim Hayes, however, whichwas quite a speech -- his way of supporting the resolution was, in effect,
to say it wasn't radical enough, and challengedanti-war protestors on our commitment to race issues.

Aside from the salvos in a dem-green feud, it might be interesting to
follow up Milt's comments with an interviewprobing his support of sanctions against Iraq (he compared them to
Apartheid South Africa) and how that squares withhis Mennonite anti-war stance. Milt said he'd show up at the AWARE protest
on Saturday--that might be a time for me tofollow up on this suggestion.

Also it would interesting to somehow create a forum for a meeting of
pro-war and anti-war vets, particularly gulf-warvets.
