paul R <paul at mediageek.org> has a spec that he and i worked out
together.  erek dyskant, whose e-mail i don't have handy, has also
volunteered to work toward the patchbay.  erek says he'll be working on
it on Fridays during his shift.

thanks for volunteering, and keep me posted on the progress.  maybe i
will have the opportunity for a soldering lesson, at which point i might 
be able to pitch in.  no guarantees though.
