[UCIMC-Tech] incompatible office/excel files from Americorps

Carol,
While troubleshooting the current issues with the finance machine, Joy
mentioned that you had had some issues with files from Americorps
being incompatible with Open Office on your computer, necessitating
the use of her machine.

Brian is in the process of recovering files from Joy's computer, but I
wondered if you had originals of these files in your email which we
could use to test.

We want you to be able to open these files, and wish to confirm that
they are truly incompatible. If the UCIMC can use OpenOffice for basic
office documents, it saves us money and computer management time. If
you could send me a copy of one or more that you were having issues
with, that would help a lot.
