Thanks, Brian, for taking care of the thank you note.  You're right about
process and it sounds like we need a 2-part coordination process for
donations:
1.) Only Finance can give tax exempt-donation info to donors, so they need
notification
2.) Relevant groups should coordinate the drop-off, determine
need/acceptability, and  thank the donor.

I'm happy to make a simple form for in-kind donations (we may already have
this) and to propose this to all groups at the next steering meeting.  Now
that I think about it, when Chris Evans was building manager he used to
coordinate donations, now it's a little unclear how this happens, which is
probably how this fell through the cracks.  However, it's always better to
go through groups rather than individuals,for purposes of continuity.
