I expect that hotmail is *still*, after at least two attempts by Josh 
King (thank you, Josh!) to convince them otherwise, refusing to accept 
any mail from the chambana.net mail server.  So all the Discuss list 
members who use hotmail have been blocked, and haven't been receiving 
Discuss mail in at least several months (and likewise for all the 
chambana.net mailing lists, like CUCPJ Announce, the Aware lists, etc. 
etc.).   After enough bounces, the chambana mailman server just disables 
their subscriptions, which must have happened this morning.

This is a serious problem, but we're stuck - it's hard to get people to 
change their e-mail addresses, and it seems to be impossible to get any 
customer service out of a "free" mail service.

I've spoken separately with Lynn Stuckey, who wanted to try reading the 
archives, but couldn't - she didn't know her password and there is no 
way to set it, even for an administrator, if she can't receive e-mail.   
In disgust I ended up giving her the control password for the Discuss 
list so that she could reach the archives that way.

Also spoke with Sophia Lewis - we talked about her getting a non-hotmail 
e-mail address.

But there are about half a dozen others on Discuss who simply can't 
receive its e-mail.   It is frustrating.
