Lexis-Nexis ( http://www.lexis-nexis.com ) has finally
taken a step away from its high-priced all-or-nothing
policy regarding its massive legal and news databases.
LexisOne, a service designed for small law firms though
available to anyone, allows free searches of federal
and state case law from the past five years and offers a
downloadable library of legal forms. Users can conduct
other, more-detailed searches on the regular Lexis database
for $4 to $9 each with a credit card. The site will carry
some advertising.
