Lexis-Nexis ( http://www.lexis-nexis.com ) has finally 
taken a step away from its high-priced all-or-nothing 
policy regarding its massive legal and news databases. 
LexisOne, a service designed for small law firms though 
available to anyone, allows free searches of federal 
and state case law from the past five years and offers a 
downloadable library of legal forms. Users can conduct 
other, more-detailed searches on the regular Lexis database 
for $4 to $9 each with a credit card. The site will carry 
some advertising.
