}  A 9-year-old girl's ball was stolen while she was playing Monday on the
} 200 block of West Washington Street, Urbana.

}  According to an Urbana police report, the victim was playing with the
} ball when the ball rolled into the street.
} 
}  The suspect picked up the ball and took it with him when he drove away
} in his vehicle, the report stated.
} 
}  The suspect was contacted and was told to return the ball, the report
} stated.
} 
}  The suspect was described as a 42-year-old Champaign man, the report
} stated.

}  In other police news:

}  • A Champaign man was arrested for aggravated battery Wednesday night
} at Speedway Station, 2315 W. Springfield Ave., Champaign.
} 
}  According to a Champaign police report, when the offender was asked to
} sign a credit card receipt, he wrote an expletive instead of his
} required signature.
} 
}  When the victim, an employee of the station, asked him to sign the
} receipt properly, the offender punched him, giving the victim a broken
} nose, the report stated.
} 
}  The victim was treated by Provena Covenant Medical Center emergency
} room staff, the report stated.
