FRIENDS and NEIGHBORS,

THREE OF THE BEST songwriters EVER to come out of CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, are
performing TOGETHER next weekend (7/21/00), and YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT
unless someone dear to your heart is dying--or some other such similar
crisis.  so get your sorry butt to CHICAGO for the occasion!!

the songs of PAUL KOTHEIMER are ambitious, bold, contagious, dynamic,
energetic, frenetic, genuine, hellacious, idiosyncratic, jaded, kinetic,
lithe, mnemonic, neurotic, ontological, political, quirky, righteous,
salient, talented, underrated, vibrant, winsome, xerographic, yearning,
and zeitgeist-y, as some of you may already be aware...

BUT, back in the early 90's, KOTHEIMER learned everything he knows about
songwriting and performance from the immense, charismatic, spontaneous,
and utterly mad folk-rock quintet known as the DYSFUNCTIONELLS, which
features DOCTOR RICHARD KRUEGER (immortalized in his 1989 cassette
release, TELL ME A STORY), Professor VERONON TONGES (THE juggernaut of the
blues and the Mayor of Chickentown), Ambassador RUSSELL CLARK
(hardest-working bass player in show business, and a HOT HOT HOT Salsa
dance instructor to boot), Jester OLIVER STECK (master of the accordion,
trumpet, Farfisa organ, harmonica, soft-shoe, bad pun, etc.; not to
mention, auto mechanic to the stars; and world-traveller), and drummer
VENCE ("Just The Facts Ma'am") EDMUNDS.

all of this talent will be literally CRAMMED into the close but friendly
confines of LULA'S CAFE, 2537 North Kedzie, Chicago, Illinois, for ONE
NIGHT ONLY, on FRIDAY, June 21st, 2000, starting at 8 PM.  The show will
constitute the ONE and ONLY EVER reunion of Kotheimer and the
Dysfunctionells IN THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE!!!
