moon

tardy, on the wane
in the proscenium of night
wispy clouds take curtain calls
& a single-engine plane works the crowd,
an IFO

record-breaking

my fans shake off their dust,
big and small. deadlines creep
up on me; Mort Walker crowns me in
sweatles for the final
panel

belladona

ants tend the brown dots in a network of
unseen trails. one gigantic flower wilts
under the heat, or maybe to give its life
to its exploding sibling, or could it be
because of the pods?
through my macro lens and this
90something% humidity I almost have my own climatron,
minus the screw-pine
