[Newspoetry] Prince Killed by Cat Stevens

The Artist formerly known as The Artist Formerly Known as Prince was
found dead in his lavish Minneapolis residence this week. 1970's
folk-rock star Cat Stevens, now a devout follower of Islam, was quick
to claim responsibility. "As a Jehovah's witness, Prince Rogers Nelson
was an enemy of Islam and deserved to die," explained Stevens in an
impromptu news conference.

When New York Times reporter Ahmad Lateef asked if Stevens might have
been motivated by The Artist's record sales, which have long since
eclipsed Stevens's, Steven accused Lateef of himself being an enemy of
Islam.

"But I'm Islamic," explained Lateef.

There was an awkward silence.
