[Newspoetry] lend instruments to scratch band

	The Champaign-Urbana scratch band would like your help! It needs
to borrow instruments for its debut performance at the Street Theater 
Festival this Saturday. 
	A scratch band is a band composed of people playing instruments
that they don't know how to play. The new Champaign-Urbana Scratch Band
will perform several times throughout the day at the Street Theater
Festival, using volunteers from the audience (as well as a few
"volunteers" who secretly work for the scratch band - we need
some of these too, please volunteer!) and instruments temporarily loaned
by Champaign-Urbanians. The CUSB needs donations of instruments now in
order to happen this coming Saturday!
	Any "instrument", from a drum to a violin to a kazoo, would be    
welcome.
	If you have instruments that you would be willing to loan between
11 am and 6pm on Saturday, August 4th, please contact Sehvilla Mann at
asta at advancenet.net or by phone at 344-2394 (email is much better) and
Brian Hagy at 356-9176 or bhagy at dsc-illinois.org .
	Although the instruments will be guarded and hopefully moved to an
air conditioned space when not in use, the organizers of the Street
Theater Festival cannot guarantee that an instrument would not be lost,
stolen or damaged, and could not take responsibility for lost, stolen or
damaged instruments. Please do not donate instruments that you would be
very worried about losing.  
	Please consider helping the Champaign-Urbana Scratch Band by
volunteering your instruments and/or your time as a band member!
