Remember Edna St. Vincent Millay's poem? ("This is the way the world
ends...")

Now, here is my version, which comes as the execution of Timothy McVeigh
draws nearer and nearer..

Note that the 'last-gasp' whimper refers to what will happen to him after
the second of the three lethal chemicals (pancronium bromide) is sent
through his bloodstream during his lethal injection...he gives his last
breath and finally his life is closed shut forever...

            THIS IS THE WAY TIMOTHY MCVEIGH ENDS

Not with a 'KAPLOOIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'....

     but a last-gasp whimper.
