The U-C IMC invites you to come to the weekly Friday nite Cabaret.
Starting this Friday at 8 pm (and continuing every Friday from here on
out), the U-C IMC will be hosting a Cabaret.  The format is an open
mic/open stage.  If you want to perform something (music, theater, dance,
poetry, art, anything) come on any Friday nite (before 8 PM) and sign up
for the night.  If you wish to just sit back and enjoy, there will be a
coffeehouse open during the show.

Each performer (or group) will be allowed about 15 minutes of performance
time, unless otherwise requested or featured as a guest artist (featured
artists will be given as much time as they wish up to an hour). This
Friday will feature guest artist Linsday Vickery (experimental music
composer from Australia).

Come and enjoy this new venue for short duration artworks (from Broadway
showtunes to modern dance, from newspoetry to comedy sketches, from folk
music to oil paintings), highlighting the Media of the Urbana-Champaign
Independent Media Center.
