Nope. Carl and Lois are working on a separate "external" conference, which
has a different purpose and audience from the "internal" idea. Carl and I
have discussed this (Lois has been out of the country) - and by the way, the
two conferences would not interfere or compete with each other, of course.

My impression is that Lisa's study group idea was entirely internal to
AWARE, though I could be wrong.

So far, the "internal" conference idea has been my own tentative concept
which may or may not actually take off. It was originally based on a
suggestion by Robert at the April 27 AWARE meeting. So far, I've not seen
much enthusiasm for the concept from AWARE folks I've talked to, so I've not
proposed a working group. My thinking these days is that I would have to
flesh out this idea quite a bit for it to have a chance of taking hold
within AWARE. Robert's question presented an opportunity to do a little of
that, but as you can see, the concept is still pretty nascent.

P.S. - Regarding the following idea for a conference session:

> > 8. What should an "external" conference look like?

I rushed that one because I was late for P4P - it came out wrong and it
looks bad. It suggests I think there should be an "internal" conference
session to discuss what the Carl/Lois' "external" conference should look
like, which is preposterous. I meant to say something more like:

8. What should "outreach" efforts look like - how can we best effect
positive change outside the activist community?

P.P.S. - Another idea for a session, which is obvious in retrospect, is:

9. Street demonstration strategies and experiences.

Lord knows we would have plenty to say on that =8-)
