I just called him as well. It was interesting that he essentially refused to
explain exactly why he made the decision, but did say that it was based on
customer complaints (and, presumably, loss of business). I let him know that
I've done hundreds if not thousands of dollars of business at Lowe's and
that if they persisted with their policy, I would go to the nearby Menards
for all my home-improvement needs from now on. I think it's safe to say that
if he gets enough such calls, they will change their policy.
