[Peace-discuss] Cokie a liberal

She's certainly part of the liberal establishment in the US media, Bob.  Cokie's 
a contemporary, married to a classmate of mine, Steve Roberts. They're certainly
not leftists (tho' Steve's brother Marc was) but long-time DC types who would be
offended if you called them conservatives (whom they consider generally
unwashed).  Cokie's brother Tommy Boggs is a principal of the law firm Patton
Boggs, leading Democratic lobbyists in DC (and her late sister was mayor of
Princeton).  Soi-disant conservative columnists regularly describe the two of
them as liberals, if only because they're Democrats.  --CGE
