I'm along the lines of the Hedges argument for the military in "War  
is a Force..." rather than all uses of the military is bad in  
principle.  In the current conception, the US military has much more  
often than not been used in imperial ventures than any other purpose.

There is only this moment,

The point is, the only real tools we have are our eyes and our heads.  
Its not the act of seeing with our own eyes alone; its correctly  
comprehending what we see.
